Les Voiles de Saint Tropez is the major sailing event of the French Riviera and it will take place in Saint Tropez from September 28th to October 6th. You will be able to find a selection of the finest traditional and modern yachts in the world. A number of top-flight skippers and racers, from the offshore racing scene to the America’s Cup, will be competing in Saint-Tropez. The "Village des Voiles" is open to racers and to public everyday from 9 am to 9 pm.
The Villa and its exceptional gardens were realized at the initiative of Beatrice Ephrussi , daughter of Alphonse de Rothschild. The villa is filled with many paintings, furniture and works of art of great value, mostly produced during the 18th century . Today, the place is one of the most visited attractions on the French Riviera. The multiplicity of Jean Cocteau’s talents is extraordinary. His passion is present and famous on the French Riviera with his frescoes in Menton, Villefranche, Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat or Cap d'Ail. We can easily describe him as a French artist, poet, librettist, novelist, film director, actor...a dandy! Through his work, Cocteau attests to the timelessness of mythology by transposing into the contemporary world characters such as Antigone, Oedipus or, the one often referred to as his alter ego, Orpheus. His passion about the myth is well at the centre of this unique event...
